Nadi International Airport is a pleasant two hour drive, passing through sugar farms, Sigatoka Town on the river and Fijian villages along the spectacular Coral Coast where the highway hugs the shoreline revealing picturesque bays and reefs.

Suva, the main business center and capital, is an hour drive to the east from Matanivusi Surf Resort.

Matanivusi Surf Resort is 3 kilometers the village of Vunaniu. The resort staff come from the village and are very happy to invite you to their village for a kava session. If you do go to the village, be warned that there are cultural traditions that must be observed. Resort staff will be happy to explain these to you.
